Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami has generated unprecedented coverage for MLS and boosted the profile of the league globally. The Argentine could now see a former PSG teammate move Stateside as Sergio Ramos is still looking for a club after he parted ways with the Ligue 1 side at the end of the 2022/23 season.

According to Catalan daily ‘Mundo Deportivo’, Ramos is studying the possibility of moving to current MLS champions LAFC.

Ruled out for Miami

The former Real Madrid captain was heavily linked to a move to Inter Miami recently but the Herons have already used up their three designated player slots which forced the defender from Camas to rethink his future plans.

Los Angeles FC still have an open designated player spot with Carlos Vela and the Gabon national team striker Denis Bouanga occupying both slots with recent signing Portuguese Mario González brought in under the international soccer category, which opens the possibility for another high profile acquisition for the ‘Black & Gold’.
