Shakira’s new song is full of attacks on Piqué: This is “TQG”
Shakira and Karol G released a new song just about an hour ago and it’s already garnered millions of views as the Piqué slams continue.
Shakira and fellow Colombian artist Karol G have collaborated on a new song, “Te Quedo Grande” or “TQG”, which was released this morning at 1 a.m. ET. The song is one track on Karol G’s full album “Mañana Será Bonito”, which was released at the same time.
Millions of fans sat up waiting for the release of the Shakira collaboration in anticipation and as it arrived and fans heard the lyrics, they found that they were filled with hits at Shakira’s ex, Gerard Piqué.
The dust has barely settled from the hype of Shakira’s other new song, “BZRP Music Session #53″, which was all about her breakup with Piqué with references to his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti.
“TQG” lyrics hint at Piqué and new girlfriend Clara Chia
The whole song is a reference to moving on from a breakup. Here are some of the lines from “TQG” that hint at Piqué and Clara Chia.
“Verte con la nueva me dolió, pero ya estoy puesta pa’ lo mío. Lo que vivimos se me olvidó y eso es lo que te tiene ofendido”
Translated to English: “To see you with the new girl hurt me, but I am already ready for mine. I forgot what we lived through together, and that’s what’s got you upset.”
This part is sung by Shakira and is referring to Piqué and Clara Chia. Just after that, she sings this:
“Que hasta la vida me mejoró. Por acá ya no eres bienvenido. Vi lo que tu novia me tiró. Eso no da ni rabia, yo me río, yo me río.”
Translated to English: Life actually even improved for me. You are no longer welcome here. I saw what your girlfriend threw at me. That doesn’t even make me angry, I laugh, I laugh.”
“Bebé, qué fue. No pues que muy tragadito. Qué haces buscándomela si sabes que yo errores no repito. Dile a tu nueva bebé que por hombres no compito. Que deje de estar tirando que al menos yo te tenía bonito.”
Translated to English: “Baby, what’s up? I thought you were in love? Why are you looking for me if you know that I don’t repeat mistakes. Tell your new baby that I don’t compete for men, to stop pulling, because at least I had you pretty.”
