SoFi Stadium set to host its first major women’s sporting event
The 70,000 capacity venue in Inglewood (California) will host a high profile soccer friendly next April.
US Soccer has confirmed that the US women’s soccer team will face Brazil in April 2025 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. This is the first women’s sporting event to be held at the venue.
The Olympic champions were crowned at the Paris 2024 games and they did so precisely against the South American side in a match that marked the last appearance by Marta in the iconic yellow jersey.
The high-profile friendly match will see the current FIFA ranked No. 1 side against the seventh-ranked team in world soccer.

Brazil looking for revenge
The Brazilian women’s soccer team lost the Olympic final by a single goal, scored by Mallory Swanson which saw Marta collect a silver medal on hier 204th and final appearance for the Seleçao.
The game is set to be the first women’s sporting event at the Inglewood stadium and match tickets have already been made available with prices ranging from $76 to $496.
The match is scheduled to take place at 5:00 PM ET, 4:00 PM CT and 2:00 PM PT.
