Spurs to offer De Zerbi survival bonus and signing fee should he take over immediately
The situation is critical at Tottenham. The club is dangerously close to the relegation zone and currently without a coach after the firing of Igor Tudor.

It appears that there is clear favorite emerging for the vacancy on the touchline at Tottenham. Their top choice may not be too keen to take the reigns just yet, but Spurs are ready to sweeten the deal should he play savior from here to the end of the year.
Desperation setting in
On Sunday, Tottenham and Igor Tudor parted ways after an unsuccessful interim stint. The Croatian won just one match in seven tries, and recorded just one point in his four Premier League matches since taking over in mid February. The 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in their last match was the final straw for Tudor and now the search is on.
The international break gave the board at Tottenham time to reflect, and to make a decision on the short term future of the club. They decided they wanted to move in another direction before restarting the league campaign after the players get back from international duty.

It will be the fourth manager in less than a year in what has been a historically dreadful year and now Spurs are looking for a hero to come in and save the day and the season. There have been a few names in the mix, but the one that Tottenham seem most eager to sign is Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian coach has previously stated he would only consider the job at the end of the season if Spurs stay in the top flight.
De Zerbi free since February
Tottenham are sitting 17th in the table just a point above West Ham, and have apparently offered a “significant survival bonus and a sign on fee” according to talkSPORT. That would suggest that he is the most desired of all candidates Tottenham is considering.

De Zerbi made a name for himself at Brighton where he instilled an attacking, attractive style that caught the eye of Marseille. After two years in the Premier League he went to the French giants, but lasted a season and a half before parting ways with the club in February. Despite the dip in results with Marseille he is considered one of the hottest commodities this summer.
Tottenham are keen to sign the Italian sooner rather than later, although there are a few other names that have been circling around north London. Sean Dyche is one of those front runners that hasn’t laid down any demands to come in for the final few match days of the season. Harry Redknapp is a bit of a long shot, but has yet to pull his name out of contention. Club legend Glenn Hoddle is another one of the options being pondered just days before players come back from international duty.
