St. Louis City become first expansion team to win first four MLS games
With a 3-0 home victory over the San Jose, St. Louis SC became the first expansion club in Major League Soccer history to win their first four games.
St. Louis City SC is a new 2023 expansion playing in the Western Conference and have hit the ground running in MLS as they become the first ever expansion team to start by winning their first four games in a row.
The team from Saint Louis, Missouri broke the existing record after beating Austin FC, Charlotte FC, Portland Timbers and San José Earthquakes in their 2023 season openers and Bradley Carnell’s side will hope to extend the record in their next game against Real Salt Lake.
“We just now have to stay grounded,” Carnell warned. “I don’t doubt this group for one single day that we don’t remain humble, that we don’t remain eager to learn and to commit.”
