Take Kubo has been one of the stars of an outstanding season for Real Sociedad, who have returned to the Champions League. The Japanese winger has provided La Real fans with some top-level performances, but there are already fears that he could leave LaLiga.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy, Kubo is a target for current Italian champions Napoli as they will look to strengthen their squad if the departure of Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano to Saudi Arabia is confirmed.

Buy-to-sell model

The player would be welcomed by head coach Rudi Garcia and club president Aurelio de Laurentiis. The southern Italian club are looking for young players who have already proven their talent and who can make the step up to the next level at their club with a view to a possible sale to one of the giants of European football.

Napoli are seriously considering signing the Japan international, as in addition to his footballing talent, they attach considerable importance to his profile in the Asian market and the sponsors that the club could attract. This newspaper claims that his valuation is €20 million and that De Laurentiis sees it as a good deal for the exciting forward.

The 22-year-old scored nine goals and had the same number of assists in 44 games last term, but he is not the only one on the list of possible replacements for Lozano. Yeremy Pino is also on the radar. The young Villarreal talent, already capped by Spain, also fits in with Napoli’s playing style, along with Italian gem Tommaso Baldanzi of Empoli and Kosovan Edon Zhegrova.
