The Guardian has announced its prestigious list of the 60 most promising players born in 2006. Among them are three Spaniards: Marc Guiu (Barcelona), Jon Martín (Real Sociedad) and Jorge Rajado (Atlético). Endrick unsurprisingly joins the Spanish trio. The talented Brazilian forward currently plies his trade with Palmeiras and has already signed for Real Madrid. There is also a place for Warren Zaïre-Emery, who is starting for PSG under head coach Luis Enrique.

The three Spaniards on the list are known for what they have done so far at youth level. Guiu, a centre-forward, was one of Spain’s best performers at the U17 European Championship. He has an eye for goal and is also attracting attention at Barça. Jon Martin, meanwhile, is considered one of Spain’s most promising centre-backs. He recently scored a brace for Real Sociedad against Inter in the Youth League.

Rajado, a winger, was also with the U17 team at the European Championship. He had an excellent season with Atlético at underage level last term and is already in the reserve team and very well-regarded by the club.

South American talent

Among the rest of the players mentioned by The Guardian, there are players who have already made a name for themselves on the international scene. One of them is Noah Darvich, the German signed by Barça after the U17 European Championship, where he impressed, along with Brunner. Argentinians Claudio Echeverri and Gianluca Prestianni have dazzled with Argentina and at River and Velez respectively. As for Brazil, Endrick is joined by Luis Guilherme - his long-time partner at Palmeiras - and Vitor Reis. Pafundi (Italy), David Martinez (Venezuela) and Julien Duranville (Belgium) also make the list of potential future stars.
