The curse of Kim Kardashian strikes at Arsenal and now PSG

The high profile American media personality took in two games this week and watched on as both Arsenal and PSG lost at home.

The name of Kim Kardashian once again was at the forefront of social media networks this weekend as the 42-year-old was in Paris and attended the Parc de Princes Ligue 1 clash as Paris Saint-Germain faced Rennes.

Tension was already in the air pre-game following the French giants being eliminated from the Champions League earlier in the week with sectors of the home fans taking their frustration out on Leo Messi with the Argentine roundly whistled.

Things went from bad to worse as PSG suffered yet another defeat on Sunday, their seventh of the season, and their first at home in Ligue 1 for two years.

Many social network users put the defeat down to the ‘Curse of Kardashian’. Just four days earlier, the California born was in London and attended the Europa League match between Arsenal and Sporting de Portugal. Mikel Arteta’s men were firm favourites to overcome the ‘Lions’ who lie in fourth in the domestic Portuguese league some 18 points behind table topping Benfica. The Premier League leaders were stunned by the Lisbon side as a penalty shoot out saw the Liga Bwin side advance, all under the watchful eye of Kardashian.
