The USMNT were drawn out of Pot 1 in Thursday evening’s draw held in Miami. Joining them in Group D are Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, and invited guest team, Saudi Arabia. This will be the Gulf nation’s debut in Concacaf’s premier national team competition. It will also be the third official matchup between the USMNT and Saudi Arabia. The two teams previously faced each other in the Confederations Cup: in 1992, Saudi Arabia claimed a 3-0 victory, while in the 1999 edition, the USMNT secured a 2-0 win with goals from Paul Bravo and Brian McBride.

Haiti are much more familiar rivals for the USMNT, with 23 previous meetings - the three most recent all in previous edition of the Gold Cup. The USMNT won the last two by the minimum (1-0) while the 2009 encounter ended level, 2-2. The overall balance is eight wins, six draws and nine defeats.

The USMNT have met Trinidad and Tobago 31 times with a balance of 22 victories, four draws and five defeats. The most recent meetings were in the CONCACAF Nations League in November 2023 - the USMNT won the home leg 3-0 in Austin but were beaten 2-1 four days later in Port of Spain.

The 2025 Gold Cup schedule and venues will be announced later today.
