Thiago Silva avoids question on PSG’s Neymar and Kylian Mbappé
Chelsea defender Thiago Silva refused to comment on the PSG duo’s relationship after Brazil’s win over Tunisia at the Parc des Princes.
On Tuesday, Thiago Silva returned to the place he called home for many years. Brazil thrashed Tunisia 5-1 in what turned out to be a very heated atmosphere created by the large number of Tunisian fans in attendance in Paris. In the mixed zone, the Chelsea centre-back spoke about Neymar’s fantastic form but chose not to comment on his compatriot’s relationship with Kylian Mbappé.
“Neymar is incredible, he’s a magician. Unfortunately, he’s had some very serious injuries in the last few years that haven’t allowed him to finish the season the way he would’ve wanted, playing well and in great physical shape. This year is a little different. He did lots of preparation work during the holidays. I was with him in Brazil and saw him. I hope he can stay in this mindset and stay healthy so that he can be on top of his game for the World Cup.”
“I prefer to stay out of it”
On the Brazilian star’s relationship with Mbappé, Silva admitted that he didn’t know exactly what’s going on between the two: “I prefer to stay out of it because I don’t really know what’s going on. I don’t know how it is exactly. I can’t speak about Kylian. I can speak about Neymar because I know him really well. He does everything for the team. That’s why he scores a lot of goals and gets lots of assists. That’s Neymar. I can’t talk about all the other stuff.”
