This is Trinity Rodman’s NSFW rant after a hard foul by an Argentinian player forced her off the pitch on Sunday
The USWNT forward wasn’t impressed with the attitude shown by Argentina players when she was left writhing in pain after being kneed in the back.

Some things in soccer are universal - for instance the murky world of the dark arts coexists in both the men’s and women’s games, as we saw in Sunday’s 2026 SheBelieves Cup opener between the United States and Argentina.
The USWNT were put to the test in a physical contest at Nashville’s Geodis Park, but came through it with goals either side of half-time from captain Lindsey Heaps and Jaedyn Shaw. Both significant - Heaps , who is the only player to have featured in every edition of this tournament has now scored at least one goals for the national team every year since 2015; Jaedyn Shaw meanwhile, enters double figures with her second goal in consecutive games.

But the night didn’t end too well for Trinity Rodman. The USWNT forward, who replaced Lily Yohannes on the hour mark, was left writhing on the floor in excruciating pain before being taken off to the treatment room.
The game was in the first minute of stoppage time when Rodman was involved in a scuffle with Argentina’s Milagros Martín. Both players contested a ball on the byline with Rodman ending up going down after being kneed in the back.
Rodman not amused at being mocked
Martín was shown a yellow card and Rodman exited the game. But not before letting her feelings known to USWNT medical staff. According to lipreading experts, Rodman wasn’t amused by the attitude shown by certain rivals, and could be seen to say as she gestured towards Argentina’s players: “And they’re fucking laughing... wow. The fact that they’re fucking laughing makes me wanna punch them in the fucking face.”

Rodman has had ongoing issues with her back for the past couple of seasons and spent several months in rehab in London last year. USWNT head coach Emma Hayes was unable to provide any updates after the match, telling reporters: “Haven’t seen her. She’s in the locker room. I don’t generally see the team till they’ve had their own debrief about an hour and a half after the game. So I can’t give you one [update], don’t know”.
The USWNT sit second in the group behind their next opponents, Canada, who they face in Ohio on Wednesday.
