Tigres suffered their fourth defeat in the 2022 Apertura against León, a result that left coach Miguel Herrera disappointed.

The experienced coach was frustrated at not being able to give the fans a win in the last home game of the regular season.

“The truth is that we are sad and ashamed because they are always here supporting us and we couldn’t give them that good game. We have to wait for the next phase. We have three games left and we will go away and get the points to qualify. We have to go and get them away,” he said at a press conference.

Tigres lack threat in front of goal

As for the match, Herrera blamed the lack of threat in attack as to why they failed to get a point at home against León.

“We don’t score goals, we’re lacking the threat that the group normally had. We still don’t have it and to our bad luck the best player on the pitch scored a goal against us. We still don’t have the punch that the team had and that’s what we were missing,” he added.

Facing Chivas next

Herrera’s side will travel on Monday afternoon to take on Chivas.
