REAL MADRID
Tricky month ahead for Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid
Los Blancos have six difficult games on the horizon before the next FIFA international window in November.
The Real Madrid first team resume training again tomorrow (Tuesday, 15th) at 4pm local time as head coach Carlo Ancelotti prepares his side for the next six games on the horizon before the final FIFA break of 2024 (11-19 November).
In that timeframe, ‘Los Blancos’ are in action in both LaLiga and in the Champions League with games against the likes of FC Barcelona, Dortmund and AC Milan imminent.
The first test of this sextet sees Madrid travel to Vigo for the matchday 10 test in LaLiga as they face a rejuvenated Celta side under head coach Claudio Giraldez and despite a positive record in recent games at Balaidos, trips to Galicia are never straightforward.
Madrid then have two home games back-to-back as they face Borussia Dortmund in what will be a repeat of the 2023-24 Wembley UCL final in the third matchday of the new look Champions League on Tuesday, October 22nd. Four days later, the Bernabeu opens its doors for the first competitive El Clasico of the season as current table toppers FC Barcelona make the trip to the Spanish capital.
A trip to Valencia is next up for Ancelotti’s men with Madrid only managing one win in their past league trips to Mestalla. Another Champions League home fixture then beckons as AC Milan are the matchday four opponents at the Santiago Bernabeu before the curtain comes down on this key run of games as Madrid welcome Osasuna in the matchday 12 contest.
