Türkiye 0-3 Portugal: summary, score, goals, highlights Euro 2024
Türkiye - Portugal, as it happened
Far, far too easy for Portugal who were rarely troubled by Türkiye today in Dortmund and with a routine 3-0 win, Roberto Martinez and his side are mathematically through to the Round of 16 as group winners.
First half goals from an improved Bernardo Silva and a 'what was he thinking' own goal from defender Akaydin had the side from the Iberian peninsula in total control at the break.
An early second half tap in from Bruno Fernandes essentially ended the competition with the Man United player tapping into an empty net after Cristiano did well to spring the Türkiye offside trap with the Al Nassr man playing for the full 90 minutes again.
Not even Arda Guler could dig his side out of a hole and Montella's side now need to at least manage a draw against Czechia to advance in the tournament.
Portugal did themselves proud today banishing Tuesday's awful showing against Leipzig in the rain and will have fans believing once again that they can go all the way.
All over in Dortmund and with the win, Portugal are into the Round of 16 as Group F winners.
More pitch invaders as Türkiey win a late, late corner.
Montella looking concerned on the Türkiye bench and so he should after and abject showing from his side today as yet another invader runs onto the field of play.
Into the final minute of the contest and Portugal win Group F and will play their Round of 16 game in Frankfurt on Monday 2 July against the third placed from A-B or C.
Silva almost sneaks in to try and extend Portugal's advantage but the keeper is alert and snuffs out the danger.
Vitinha comes off and is replaced by Neves.
Not even the youthful magic of Arda Guler can get Türkiye out of this pickle today.
Time ticking down in Dortmund and it's been a walk in the park for Roberto Martinez's men against what has to be said has been a very poor Turkish side.
Not for the first time today, the game is halted as a pitch invader takes to the pitch.
Interesting battle between Pepe and Guler who is half the age of the Portugal defender.
Pepe is delivering a defensive masterclass today at the ripe old age of 41 !
Less than fifteen minutes remain in Dortmund and Portugal are in total control with Türkiye failing to land any punches on Portugal.
Samet Akaydin limps from the Dortmund pitch and seems to be in some distress and will need to be subbed.
With his assist today, Cristiano moves to the top of European Champions assists with seven surpassing Karel Poborsky's previous record.
Türkiye fans pleading for Arda Guler and finally they get their way as the young Real Madrid makes an entrance replacing Akgun.
Cancelo is replaced by Semedo
Yilmaz and Türkiye fans look for a spot kick but the German referee waves play on. No way through for the men in white who will now have to go into the final game and get a positive result against the Czechs.
Turkey changes
İsmail Yüksek is in for Kaan Ayhan
and Ylidiz on for Aktürkoğlu
We pass the hour mark in Dortmund and it's the Portugal supporters who are making all the noise.
Türkiye will face Czechia in their final group game with Portugal set to face Georgia.
Portugal also bossing matters in terms of possession:
TUR 40-60 (%) POR
Portugal set to join Spain and Germany as the only teams with two wins from two games unless the Turkish side can deliver a miraculous comeback.
Cristiano breaks free and unselfishly passes to Fernandes who simply can't miss and that surely is the end of the line tonight for Türkiye.
Türkiye are really struggling against Portugal and the second half to date is showing us more of the same as the side in red peg the men in white back.
Yusuf Yazıcı on for the Turkish team with Kökçü making way
Not the same raucous levels we had in the first half as Türliye win an early corner to inspire their fans.
Off we go again... the Turkish side starting the action and needing to find a way back.
Neto and Neves on for Portugal
Palihinga and Leao off
Portugal well on top at the break
It's been plain sailing for a Portugal team who look sharper than the side who eventually beat Czechia in the Leipzig rain last Tuesday.
Bernardo Silva will have silenced the 'haters' after a solid half that included a goal from the Man City man and once again, it's been a discreet showing so far from Cristiano Ronaldo who flits more out of the game than into it !
Portugal comfortably ahead at the interval with Türkiye rarely droubling Costa in the goal for Roberto Martinez's men.
A win tonight would see Portugal mathematically top Group F.
The whistle sound to bring an end to the half as a volley of whistles ring out from the Türkiye fans clearly not happy with what they are seeing.
Palhinha carded as he trips a free flowing Türkiye player and is the second Portugal man to be booked.
Samet Akaydin is now carded after leaving a boot in after a challenge.
A harsh call from the German official.
Decent effort from Türkiye as the muster a long range shot but Costa in the Portugal goal was level to the danger and gathered with ease.
Into the final five minutes of action we go.
Rafael Leao booked for diving ... same fate befell the Milan winger against Czechia on Tuesday last.
A third Portugal goal looking more likely now than a opener for the Turkish side.
Now the ball falls to Cristiano after a soldi run from Silva but the Al Nassr man gets well under the ball and drills high and over the bar.
A great chance for Fernandes to extend Portugal's lead but the Man United player blazes the ball well wide.
What can Türkiye offer by way of reply?
Just the one shot on target form Vincenzo Montella's side who are struggling against the well drilled Portugal team.
What a cock-up from the men in white as a wayward back pass ends up in the Türliye net.
Samet Akaydin the man making the mistake that will haunt him for some time
Gooool
Portugal are 2-0 ahead
Abdülkerim Bardakcı carded for a rash challenge, first player booed in tonight's Group F contest.
The ball falls nicely into Bernardo Silva's path and the Man City makes no mistake slotting home from inside the box.
Orkun Kökçü is almost through but veteran defender Pepe is on hand to block out the danger with a rollicking challenge.
Great work from Ronaldo as he gets the ball to the byline and delivers a solid cross which Leao is unable to head on target ... Roberto Martinez's side alsking plenty of questions and certainly offering more spark than the side we saw earlier this week in Leipzig against Czechia.
We pass the ten minute mark and on the balance of play, it's Portugal who dominate proceedings.
Türkiye enjoying more possession now with both teams looking bright with a decent tempo to the early stages.
The side that finished second in this group will head to Leipzig for a R16 game on 2 July against the first place in Group D (France, Netherlands or Austria).
What can Rafael Leao deliver this evening. For the first half of the game in Leipzig, he looked sharp but faded badly in the second half and was eventually subbed.
Portugal dominating the action so far with the men in white rarely getting a touch of the ball.
Cristiano gets a shot off but it's a tame effort and easily gathered by Altay Bayındır
Off we go... Portugal get the action underway.

Turkey will be far from pushovers and Montella's side looked impressive against Georgia that for many has been the best game of the tournament so far and indeed was a game that boasted some of the finest goals of the competition to date.
