Far, far too easy for Portugal who were rarely troubled by Türkiye today in Dortmund and with a routine 3-0 win, Roberto Martinez and his side are mathematically through to the Round of 16 as group winners.

First half goals from an improved Bernardo Silva and a 'what was he thinking' own goal from defender Akaydin had the side from the Iberian peninsula in total control at the break.

An early second half tap in from Bruno Fernandes essentially ended the competition with the Man United player tapping into an empty net after Cristiano did well to spring the Türkiye offside trap with the Al Nassr man playing for the full 90 minutes again.

Not even Arda Guler could dig his side out of a hole and Montella's side now need to at least manage a draw against Czechia to advance in the tournament.

Portugal did themselves proud today banishing Tuesday's awful showing against Leipzig in the rain and will have fans believing once again that they can go all the way.

All over in Dortmund and with the win, Portugal are into the Round of 16 as Group F winners.

It's been plain sailing for a Portugal team who look sharper than the side who eventually beat Czechia in the Leipzig rain last Tuesday.

Bernardo Silva will have silenced the 'haters' after a solid half that included a goal from the Man City man and once again, it's been a discreet showing so far from Cristiano Ronaldo who flits more out of the game than into it !

As we saw in the game in Leipzig, masses of red clad Portugal fans are in town to see their national side. 

All eyes again in Dortmund today will be on Cristiano Ronaldo with the striker, despite his elder statesman status, still a massive draw at box office with Portugal matches seeing some of the most in-demand tickets at Euro 2024.

Both teams got off to winning starts with Turkey beating Georgia 3-1 in one of the most exciting games of the competition to date and Portugal too recorded a win against Czechia but failed to impress with a late winner securing maximum points for Roberto Martinez's men.
