Far, far too easy for Portugal who were rarely troubled by Türkiye today in Dortmund and with a routine 3-0 win, Roberto Martinez and his side are mathematically through to the Round of 16 as group winners.
First half goals from an improved Bernardo Silva and a 'what was he thinking' own goal from defender Akaydin had the side from the Iberian peninsula in total control at the break.
An early second half tap in from Bruno Fernandes essentially ended the competition with the Man United player tapping into an empty net after Cristiano did well to spring the Türkiye offside trap with the Al Nassr man playing for the full 90 minutes again.
Not even Arda Guler could dig his side out of a hole and Montella's side now need to at least manage a draw against Czechia to advance in the tournament.
Portugal did themselves proud today banishing Tuesday's awful showing against Leipzig in the rain and will have fans believing once again that they can go all the way.

Vitinha comes off and is replaced by Neves.
Not even the youthful magic of Arda Guler can get Türkiye out of this pickle today.
Time ticking down in Dortmund and it's been a walk in the park for Roberto Martinez's men against what has to be said has been a very poor Turkish side.

Samet Akaydin limps from the Dortmund pitch and seems to be in some distress and will need to be subbed.

Cancelo is replaced by Semedo
Yilmaz and Türkiye fans look for a spot kick but the German referee waves play on. No way through for the men in white who will now have to go into the final game and get a positive result against the Czechs.

Palihinga and Leao off
Portugal well on top at the break
It's been plain sailing for a Portugal team who look sharper than the side who eventually beat Czechia in the Leipzig rain last Tuesday.
Bernardo Silva will have silenced the 'haters' after a solid half that included a goal from the Man City man and once again, it's been a discreet showing so far from Cristiano Ronaldo who flits more out of the game than into it !

Portugal go ahead.
Orkun Kökçü is almost through but veteran defender Pepe is on hand to block out the danger with a rollicking challenge.
Great work from Ronaldo as he gets the ball to the byline and delivers a solid cross which Leao is unable to head on target ... Roberto Martinez's side alsking plenty of questions and certainly offering more spark than the side we saw earlier this week in Leipzig against Czechia.
We pass the ten minute mark and on the balance of play, it's Portugal who dominate proceedings.
