Various reports indicate that the United States will once again host a Copa América as part of the preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

As the 2022 World Cup enters its final stretch, thoughts turn to the 2024 Copa América and after Ecuador rejected the possibility of hosting the competition in 2024, the United States (and Canada) look strongly placed to step in as host nations in preparation ahead of the 2026 World Cup which will be staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

According to Fox Sports, the United States and Canada will host the tournament with Mexico and three other Concacaf teams set to be invited to the 2024 competition where Argentina will set out to defend their title.
