USA-Netherlands breaks World Cup group stage match audience record
The Group E game between the USWNT and Netherlands broke US records to become the most-watched Women’s World Cup group stage match.

Following an opening game 3-0 win over Vietnam, the USWNT faced tougher opposition in the 2023 Women’s World Cup as the holders went up against the Netherlands in a game which required a Lindsey Horan equaliser just after the hour mark to secure a share of the spoils for the pre-tournament favourites.
The game did however break US television and viewing records to become the most-watched Women’s World Cup group stage match in both English and Spanish-language TV.
