The Stars and Stripes are currently sitting second in the standings with four points, one behind leaders El Salvador and three ahead of Granada, although Anthony Hudson’s men have one game in hand.
The USMNT thrashed Granada in the opener with an impressive 5-0 win over The Spice Boys, with four Jesús Ferreira goals at Q2 Stadium last June.
However, the Americans couldn’t record a second win against El Salvador four days later, as La Selecta held the US to a 1-1 draw at Estadio Cuscatlán.

Los Cuscatlecos, one of the most improved Concacaf teams in recent years, will play a friendly game against Honduras on Wednesday night which will serve as a tune-up clash before their meeting against the USA.
Hugo Pérez’s men recorded their first win in the section against Granada (3-1) but were held to a draw in their following games to Michael Findlay’s pupils (2-2) and the USWMNT (1-1).
