USMNT arrive in Qatar for the World Cup
Gregg Berhalter’s side are the first national team to arrive in Qatar for the tournament
And we have a winner! With nine days to go until the inaugural match, the USMNT have touched down in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup, becoming the first national side to arrive in Doha. In total, 8 players have arrived, with the rest of the squad (revealed this week) set to travel later once club commitments have concluded.
Walker Zimmerman, Aaron Long, Shaq Moore, Jordan Morris, Kellyn Acosta, Jesús Ferreira, DeAndre Yedlin and Cristian Roldán are the players who have arrived at the team hotel, along with manager Gregg Berhalter, and have already started their preparations for the first game against Wales on 21 November.
The rest of the squad will make the journey once their commitments to their club teams - such as Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson of Leeds United - finish this weekend.
