USMNT vs Ghana: As it happened
USMNT cruised past Ghana with a blistering first-half performance at Geodis Park.
The early blitz began with a goal from Gio Reyna, before Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun added two more to confirm the States' dominance with just 20 minutes on the clock.
Reyna doubled his tally towards the end of the first half with a clinical finish from an indirect free kick, his first brace for the national team.
USMNT rang the changes at half time and the intensity of the game dropped off after the break, but there were still flashes of inspiration from the impressive Timothy Weah on the right wing.
A chastening night for Ghana, but one that showed signs of real hope for Greg Berhalter and USMNT.
USMNT continue fine form
For the third game in a row, the Stars and Stripes proved too strong for the Black Stars. This time it took just 15 first-half minutes for the US to secure the victory and they were able to ring the changes for the second 45.
An impressive performance to finish the international break.
Attack talents shine against Ghana
He may not have scored, but few would argue that Timothy Weah was not one of the most exciting forwards on the pitch tonight. The Juventus star impressed throughout from the right wing and was responsible for one of the game's most memorable moments!
Full time at Geodis Park
USMNT cruised past Ghana after a thrilling first-half showing in Nashville. Greg Berhalter's side were far too good for the sub-par visitors and end the international break on a positive note.
Aaronson delivers but it's a poor cross and one that's easily cleared by Ghana. Little over ten minutes of regular time still to play.
Free kick to USMNT, wide on the left. Aaronson and Weah are standing over it...
Another change for the US as Yunus Musah is replaced by Luca De La Torre.
Chance! USMNT
More good play from Weah, who digs out a cross from the right wing. The ball falls to Hansen at the back post but his right-footed effort flashes over the crossbar.
Ghana captain Jordan Ayew is still working hard for his team and looks to run at the US defence from deep in his own half. He's been one of few Ghanaians to have made any impression on this game.
Chris Houghton will need a major rethink after this chastening defeat.
With that substitution Maloney makes his first appearance for USMNT, the 60th debutant under Greg Berhalter. Maloney is 24 years old and currently plays for Bundesliga side FC Heidenheim.
Another change for USMNT as Lennard Maloney comes on to replace Johnny Cardoso in the middle of the pitch.
That knock doesn't seem to be doing Weah any harm!
The wideman skips past Alidu Seidu with a brilliant piece of ball-juggling and strides goalwards. He just loses control as he reaches the penalty box, but that little flick got the crowd going again!
Bit of a concern for Berhalter as Timothy Weah clutches his ankle. He's continuing to jog around but is definitely moving more gingerly now.
USMNT may look to change him fairly soon to avoid risking an injury.
Ghana work the ball out wide to Mohammed Kudus on the right wing. The West Ham man skips past Hansen and lets fly from distance, but his left-footed effort goes well wide of the target.
A bit of a lull in the game ten minutes into the second half. Ghana are enjoying a little more of the possession now but USMNT have not looked troubled.
Chance! USMNT
Good work from Ricardo Pepi to pinch the ball off Nurudeen as the Ghana goalkeeper dallies on the ball. USMNT work the ball into Cardoso but his turn-and-shot is blocked and deflects out of play.
Close! USMNT
Brilliant play from Timothy Weah on the right wing, charging behind the Ghana defence. He take the ball very wide but whips a fierce low shot just past the far post, evading Ricardo Pepi in the middle.
His pace on the counter-attack has looked frightening.
It's been a better start for Ghana this half, who are not giving up in spite of their four-goal deficit.
Jordan Ayew delivers a wide free kick from the left but USMNT manage to get the ball clear.
And for Ghana Mensah is replaced by Kingsley Schindler.
There were changes for both sides at the break. USMNT remove goal-scorers Pulisic, Reyna and Balogun, they are replaced by Weston McKennie, Brenden Aaronson and Ricardo Pepi.
Play resumes at Geodis Park!
We're back at it in Nashville, where USMNT lead Ghana 4-0.
USMNT score four against Ghana
Gio Reyna has scored twice in the first 45 minutes at Geodis Park, the second coming from a well-struck indirect free kick in the Ghana box. The youngster coolly fired the ball into the roof of the net from close range.
What now for USMNT? Berhalter will presumably be considering changes at the break, but might he want to give this exciting front four the chance to continue gelling?
On the bench he has the likes of Brenden Aaronson, another energetic forward who is looking to force his way into contention. Let's see what Berhalter decides...
USMNT too good for brittle Ghanaian backline
Greg Berhalter went with an attacking line up for tonight's game, fielding an attacking quartet of Reyna, Pulisic, Weah and Balogun. The system has worked brilliantly and USMNT have looked devastating on the counter-attack.
It's been a first half to remember for those in Geodis Park tonight!
And that's the half!
A brilliant opening 45 minutes from the United States sees them go into the break with a four-goal advantage. Greg Berhalter will be asking his players for more of the same!
Very little time left in the first half now, there may not even be any time added on.
Nothing but the Dest!
The USMNT right back has largely refrained from his trademark forward runs in the first half, but has made one incredible surge forward from his only penalty box. Dest blitzed past five Ghana players before being felled on the halfway line.
Sensational play from Sergio Dest.
We're into the final minutes of the first half and this has been a near-perfect 43 minutes for Greg Berhalter. His side have looked confident on the ball and have looked lethal going forward, putting Ghana's backline under pressure with their direct running.
Close! Ghana
So nearly a goal back for the visitors! Kudus lets fly from the edge of the box and his strike takes a massive deflection, sending it towards the top corner of Matt Turner's goal.
Somehow the USMNT goalkeeper contorts his body and does enough to tip the ball wide. Brilliant stop from Turner!
GOOOOOOAAAAL! Gio Reyna
Pulisic lays off the ball for Reyna and the Borussia Dortmund forward curls the ball past the on-rushing Ghana defenders and into the roof of the net.
We're still five minutes from the half and USMNT are four goals up!
USMNT win an indirect free-kick inside the box, just 12 yards from goal. What can Reyna and Pulisic muster here?
Close! USMNT
Dest sends Balogun racing forward down the right wing with a clever ball over the top. The Monaco man whips in a low cross for Pulisic but the AC Milan forward's effort is a weak one.
The United States have looked really confident on the ball so far and lethal on the break. The double-pivot of Musah and Cardoso is working well and the front four have looked devastating going forward.
Edmund Addo (Ghana)
The pace of the game has certainly slowed after that flurry of goals, but USMNT won't be too worried about that. Ghana midfielder Addo is shown a yellow card.
WATCH: Pulisic scores from the spot
The USMNT made no mistake after Timothy Weah was felled in the box. Pulisic follows up his goal against Germany with another against Ghana!
More good attacking play from USMNT as Dest surges forward and looks to find Balogun in the middle. The Monaco forward connects well but can't direct his effort on target.
USMNT race to a three-goal lead!

It's turning into a route for USMNT as Balogun finds the back of the net with a neatly-taken third! The hosts are running riot against Ghana!
GOOOOAAAAAL! Christian Pulisic
The AC Milan man makes no mistake from the penalty spot. USMNT have a two-goal lead and they are cruising now!
Penalty to USMNT!
Captain Christian Pulisic steps up to take for the USA...
It was a nicely worked goal from USMNT, one that showed the value of Balogun as a focal point of the attack. That should help the team to ease into this game, it's certainly got the Nashville crowd going!
The Borussia Dortmund man gives USMNT the lead! It's been a cagey start to the game but the hosts have the lead with ten minutes on the clock.
GOOOOAAAAL! Gio Reyna
The USMNT youngster finds the breakthrough for his side! He may have had a very public falling out with head coach Greg Berhalter, but he's proving his worth with tonight's opener.
1-0 to USMNT.
Pulisic looks to have found some space in the box but he's swiftly crowded out by the Ghanaian backline and he gives away a foul.
it's been a solid start for the US but they haven't really managed to get in behind the Ghana backline. Kudus has looked sharp for the visitors when he's got the ball, USMNT will have to watch the West Ham man's penetrative forward runs.
From the start this looks like an attacking line up from USMNT. Reyna is playing just between Balogun, with Pulisic and Weah on the wings.
It's an exciting attacking quartet for the hosts, but it places a lot of faith in the defensive capabilities of Cardoso and Musah.
There's a decent early opening for USMNT as Pulisic and Balogun combine on the edge of the box, but the US captain is barged off the ball as he prepares to strike at goal.
