The United States men’s national team will arrive in Qatar in November for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the goal to make history and reach the final stages of the tournament. The USMNT will play two friendlies next month in Europe and this will be the last opportunity for several players to convince the head coach, Gregg Berhalter, to include them in the final roster.

A docuseries in the works

On Monday it was confirmed that as the United States prepares for the most important sports event in the world, they will be subject to a documentary series that will be produced by Park Stories and H.wood Media. They have been working on the docuseries for some time now and it is expected to launch during the World Cup in November.

Five billion people are projected to tune in for the 2022 World Cup, and this team has the potential to impact each of them in profoundly transformative ways,” said directors Rand Getlin and Luke Korver. “We know it starts with their play on the field, but we’re most excited for viewers to see them as sons, brothers, fathers and leaders who care deeply about their loved ones and bringing the world closer together.”

The idea of creating this documentary series is to give fans all-access to the players and coaches of the United States men’s national team. People will be able to see what happens in the locker room of the USMNT and they even visited players in their hometown during the World Cup qualifiers in CONCACAF.

The USMNT returns to the World Cup after failing to qualify four years ago and they will play against Wales, England and Iran during the group stage. Also, this is considered to be the United State’s ‘golden generation’ with Christian Pulisic, Brenden Aaronson, Weston McKennie, Gio Reyna and Sergiño Dest are amongst the biggest names in the roster.
