USWNT confirm pre-World Cup friendly send-off game against Wales
The “Send-Off Match” will take place in San Jose on 9 July before the team set sail for Australia/New Zealand to defend their World Cup title.


After recent two back-to-back wins over the Republic of Ireland, US Soccer have confirmed that Vlatko Andonovski’s side will play one more friendly game ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The ’Send Off Match’ has been scheduled for 9 July and will be staged in San Jose, California with Wales set to provide the opposition in a game which will be the first-ever meeting between the two countries in women’s soccer.

The match at PayPal Park will start at 4 pm (ET) and will be followed by a special on-field send-off ceremony, giving the fans a chance to see the squad on their way as they head to defend their crown in Australia and New Zealand.
