USWNT hold firm in FIFA rankings

FIFA have issued the latest rankings with just over a month to go to the World Cup with the US Women’s team holding firm in top spot.

FIFA have published the latest women’s football rankings ahead of the 2023 World Cup which gets underway in Australia/New Zealand on 20 July.

The top 5 sees no movement with the USWNT top of the pile followed by the European quartet of Germany, Sweden, Euro 2022 champions England in fourth with France in fifth place.

Just below the top five, Spain move to sixth and are many peoples ‘dark horse’ ahead of the World Cup. for the Canada slip to seventh with Brazil and the Netherlands swapping places with the ‘Seleçao’ now ranked eighth.

The next rankings will be published upon the conclusion of the World Cup on 25 August.
