USWNT set for China double-header

As part of the pre 2024 Olympics build-up, the US women’s team will face China for the first time since 2018 in two friendly games.

The US women’s team will close off 2023 with two December friendly matches against China. The first of the double headers will be staged on 2 December at the DRV PNK Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale (home to Leo Messi and Inter Miami) with a 3 p.m. ET start. Both teams will then lock horns again on 5 December Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas (home to FC Dallas) with the second game having a later start of 8 p.m. (ET).

China has faced the USWNT on 58 occasions with some of the most famous meetings between both nations including the 1996 Olympic gold medal game and the 1999 Women’s World Cup Final with last USA-China clash coming back in 2018 as they last met for another pair of friendlies in June 2018.

Next up on the schedule for the USWNT, as they set their sights on next summer’s Paris Olympics, is a double header against Colombia on 26 October in Sandy, Utah. Both teams will face one another three days later in San Diego.
