Valencia want to sign Edinson Cavani

The club is in contact with the footballer’s brother and Cavani himself has already spoken with members of Los Che’s squad. He wants to play for Valencia.

Valencia have spent days trying to negotiate Maxi Gómez’s departure with Fenerbahçe. The Uruguayan striker hopes that the Turkish club will raise their offer and an agreement can be reached to play in Istanbul for the next four years. If the Uruguayan leaves, Valencia are already working on his replacement it will be another Uruguayan striker.

And that is none other than Edinson Cavani. The 35-year-old striker is the forward that the club wants to the point that for two days they have been in daily contact with the player’s brother to try to close the deal once Maxi leaves. His salary is manageable for Los Che and the club have remained the main candidate to sign him.

Regarding Cavani, the player wants to sign for Valencia. In recent days the veteran striker has spoken with members of the squad to tell them of his desire to join the club, in addition to the fact that Gattuso already spoke with him approximately three weeks ago when the club made contact with him for the first time. The player is convinced and eager to sign, all that remains now is for Maxi or even Marcos André to leave.
