Vinícius identifies and confronts fan at Mestalla during Real Madrid’s defeat to Valencia
Vinícius identified a supporter who allegedly insulted him on Sunday.
Vinícius was once again involved in an unpleasant incident in LaLiga on Sunday. The Brazilian claimed to have been insulted by a fan behind the goal at Mestalla when the match between Valencia and Real Madrid was stopped due to having two balls on the pitch.
The match was stopped for a total of almost nine minutes; five and a half after the Brazilian complained that he had allegedly been insulted by one of the supporters in the lower part of the stand. The Brazilian clearly identified the perpetrator of the insult and confronted him, before being blocked by José Luis Gayá and being calmed down by several of his Real Madrid team-mates.
Carlo Ancelotti took the Brazilian aside during the break to try to calm him down, after which the Italian exchanged a few words with referee, De Burgos Bengoetxea, claiming that his player had been insulted and was being insulted by the whole stadium.
Almost nine minutes after the stoppage of play, the match resumed. This then resulted in the fourth official having to add 10 minutes at the end of the 90′ to make up for all the time that had been lost.
