Vinicius set for July Dallas return
The Brazilian will start his vacation on 21 June after two friendlies with Brazil and will be off through to 19 July.
After a hectic season for Vinicius where the Brazilian became the eighth most used player across European football, playing 5,227 minutes in games for both club and country. The winger was also the most fielded Real Madrid player under Carlo Ancelotti being involved in 4,759 minutes of action in the 2022/23 season. After a draining six competitions, 61 official matches with a World Cup in between, the Brazilian is close to securing a well earned long term rest.
Vini Jr. is actually currently enjoying his first week of vacation but that will end abruptly as the winger has been called up by the Seleçao from 12-20 June. The Canarinha will play two friendlies in the Iberian peninsula, against Guinea (Cornellà-El Prat) and Senegal (Lisbon ) and then the winger can delve back into his holidays. Last week the Brazilian was in Miami and was spotted at the Kaseya Center with Neymar as they took in the Miami Heat-Denver Nuggets NBA finals game.
Date | Game | Stadium | Category |
---|---|---|---|
June 17 | Brazil-Guinea | RCDE Stadium | Friendly |
June 20 | Brazil-Senegal | Jose Alvalade | Friendly |
Last summer the Brazilian spent his holidays working with a personal physical trainer and the plan is to repeat this methodology this year. The 22-year-old returns from leave on 19 July, the very same day when Madrid embark on their US tour. The winger will probably miss the game on 23 July against Milan and would be a doubt for the second Stateside test as Madrid face Manchester United on 26 July. It’s likely that we’ll see the Brazilian in a Madrid shirt again for the friendly against Barcelona on 29 July in Texas.
Non-internationals return on 10 July
Players such as Kroos, Lucas Vázquez, Mendy or even recent signings, Fran García and Brahim, who haven’t been on international duty are summoned to return to the training sessions on 10 July after a five week break. The club hope to have the full squad back by 19 July as they head to the United States, with the UCLA facilities once again set to be used as the club headquarters.
