Once again, there were regrettable scenes both inside and outside of Rayados’ BBVA stadium this weekend. Albiazul fans unleashed their ire by loudly booing their team on the final whistle, but the fury did not end there after the 1-2 home defeat to Cruz Azul.

Videos have been circulating on social media over the past few hours, illustrating the problems both outside and inside the BBVA stadium, some more serious than others, mostly involving pseudo-fans of the Cerro de la Silla-based outfit.

The most serious incident occurred outside the perimeter of the nicknamed Steel Giant, where stadium paramedics were assaulted and their vehicle damaged.

Monterrey have yet to formally comment on the ugly events that occurred at their stadium on Sunday.
