The Apple TV docuseries on Lionel Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami, ‘Messi Meets America’, is set for global release this week.
Soccer fans around the world will be able to relive the astonishing early months of Messi’s time in Miami from Wednesday 11 October when the first episodes in the six-part series go live.
After two decades at the top table of European soccer with FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, the Argentine arrived in Miami after leading his nation to the 2022 World Cup. A matter of months after that historic triumph Messi joined up with an Inter Miami side languishing in last place in MLS.
The docuseries will cover his decision to move to the United States, his arrival in Miami and an incredible run of form that brought the first piece of silverware in club history. Here’s a look at the trailer for ‘Messi Meets America’...

As with all of Messi’s MLS and Leagues Cup matches with Inter Miami, fans around the world will be able to watch ‘Messi Meets America’ through Apple TV and the MLS Season Pass.

‘Messi Meets America’ will showcase the Argentine getting to know the fans and the people of Miami as he leads his team to Leagues Cup glory. The 36-year-old’s incredible form sees ‘Messi Mania’ sweep across the country and sparks a huge surge of interest in soccer.

“I couldn’t be happier coming to Miami and joining such an amazing group of people and organization,” Messi said after finalising the move to Miami.

The first three episodes will be released on Wednesday 11 October. The final three instalments of the six-part series have not yet been given a release date. ‘Messi Meets America’ is produced for Apple by Smuggler Entertainment and produced in association with MLS.
