“We are in talks with Isco”
The president of the Turkish Konyaspor explains that they have made an offer to the Andalusian player who could not close his transfer with Unión Berlin.
After Isco’s last minute failed transfer to Bundesliga side Union Berlin, the free agent may be a set to move to Turkey after Konyaspor vice-president Mehmet Akcan confirmed to AS that he is in talks with the player.
Super Liga Konyaspor currently lie in ninth place in the Turkish Super Lig and Turkey are one of the few destinations left for Isco with the market not closing until next week (8 February).
Akcan stated: “It is correct, we are in a negotiation process with Isco. I can tell you that the dialogues are going well. We are not yet sure if we have reached an agreement, otherwise we would say so openly. We are doing everything possible to close the signing. We have until the 8th of this month, but I think everything will be resolved with Isco, one way or another, as soon as possible. Now we have an opportunity to close this signing. We are positive”, concluded Akcan.
Fenerbahçe, coached by Jorge Jesús is another Turkish side who have also been lined with the central player from Benalmadena (Malaga).
