What are the Copa América quarter-final fixtures? Knockout games schedule

The final games of the group stage of the 2024 Copa América took place on Tuesday evening, drawing the first phase of the tournament to a close. Already we’ve seen big shocks, big wins and big goals in the United States, but we won’t be seeing any more of the USMNT this summer.

Gregg Berhalter’s US side were the biggest casualty of the group stages after losing to Panama and failing to progress to the knockout stages. As host nation a lot was expected of the United States but they managed just one win from three matches and were unceremoniously dumped from the competition at the earliest possible stage.

In the quarter-finals the winners of each of the four groups will play against the runner-ups, giving the group-winners an advantage in the next round. Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay and Colombia have all secured top spot in their respective groups.

Copa América quarter-final schedule

The next round of the tournament gets underway on Thursday night when Copa América holders Argentina return to action, taking on Ecuador at NRG Stadium, Houston. Here’s the full list of quarter-final fixtures from Copa America...

Argentina find themselves in the easier side of the draw with only Ecuador and either Venezuela or Canada standing between them and a place in the Copa America final. Lionel Scaloni’s side are yet to concede a goal in the tournament and boast current top scorer Lautaro Martínez, who has hit four goals in three games.

The only concern for Scaloni is the fitness of Lionel Messi, who was forced to miss their final group stage game against Peru due to a hamstring injury suffered against Chile. But even without the 37-year-old Argentina have a wealth of attacking options, with the likes of Ángel Di María, Julián Álvarez and Alejandro Garnacho in addition to the in-form Martínez.
