Antonio Brown has historically been considered a troublesome wide receiver despite seemingly having what it takes to be one of the best. His off-field attitude is undoubtedly one of the issues that have stunted his NFL career and the reason that he is currently without a team.

On the other hside of the coin, the Dallas Cowboys find themselves in a bit of a jame ahead of the new season, particularly in terms of the wide receiver position. James Washington’s injury, the loss of Amari Cooper, who was traded to the Browns and Michael Gallup being ruled out for the season leaves the Cowboys with just Ceedee Lamb as the only starting receiver remaining.

In view of this, Brown has offered to help Dallas. Speaking to TMZ, the former Steelers and Buccaneers receiver was asked about a possible return to the NFL. “Tell Jerry Jones to call me,” he replied

Dallas hare no strangers to signing controversial players. However, Brown recently resolved a civil dispute with his former trainer Britney Taylor over sexual assault allegations and has been fined by the NFL multiple times during the course of his playing career. He was also banned for three games last season for falsifying a covid-19 vaccination certficate.

Brady connection

Brown most recently played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was previously at the New England Patriots. At both teams he coincided with Tom Brady, later stating that the pair had fallen out and no longer communicated, while also confessing to missing the passes that the veteran quarterback used to send him.

Brown’s time with the Bucs came to an abrupt end during the third quarter of a game in week 17 of the regular season in which the Buccaneers faced the Jets. The receiver pulled off his jersey, pads and gloves and ran to the locker room, refusing to return to the field.

After the game, then-Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians said the wide receiver would no longer be part of the team, which was confirmed officially shortly afterward in a statement.
