What has happened to Paul Pogba?

The bad news for Paul Pogba in this season to forget is not over yet. After all the injury issues that made him miss the first part of the season and the World Cup, the Frenchman was back on the pitch for the first time between the end of February and the beginning of March against Torino and Roma, playing 35 minutes in total.

The French midfielder missed the game against Freiburg as a punishment for being late for training. Yesterday Pogba was unavailable for the match against Sampdoria due to muscular problems. Today, after tests at J-Medical, Juve announced a “low-grade injury to the abductor muscle of the right thigh”, explaining that the player has already started rehabilitation.

The former Manchester United man left the Juventus medical centre with clear frustration, giving no autographs or photos to the waiting fans. He will be out of action for around three weeks and will therefore miss the second leg against Freiburg on Thursday and also the crucial visit to Inter in Serie A on Sunday. After the international break, Juve hope to finally have him available at least for the final stretch of the season. There is still a lot at stake for the Old Lady.
