A few days after his emotional Anfield exit after nine years in charge as Liverpool head coach, Jürgen Klopp is adapting to his ‘new’ life and with wife, Ulla Sandrock, the pair are spending time in Mallorca as renovation work on their villa, purchased in 2022 is being finalised.

On his Instagram account, Klopp took time to record a message and once again, deliver a heartfelt thanks for all the kind words following his departure from the Premier League club.

Padel passion

The German is a devout padel player and even has a signature racket deal with the brand Wilson. Klopp stated that he is determined to improve his level on the court. “I’m trying my other great passion, improving my padel. I started a few days ago, today is my third session and I started at an extremely low level. I didn’t play for a while and I felt it immediately,” with the German sporting an Adidas kit and his own Wilson racket.

Klopp was instrumental in developing a padel court at Liverpool’s Melwood training complex with the club posting video’s of the German playing the racket sport along with the likes of Mo Salah and Thiago.

Klopp is playing at the exclusive Mallorca Country Club, an exclusive complex close to Palma and used by the likes of Novak Djokovic, Boris Becker or Prince Albert of Monaco with the German couple staying at one the islands best hotels, the Kimpton Aysla in Santa Ponça.

House construction

In June 2022, Klopp and his wife bought a dream mansion in Santa Ponça in which they invested 3.9 million euros with the property boasting 5,000 square meters, a swimming pool, a garden and a residence with five bedrooms, five bathrooms and two guest areas with the idea to adapt the residence and convert it to an “ecological family paradise.”
