What is Pogba’s new Juventus contract?
The Frenchman returns as a free agent to Vecchia Signora, with whom he signed until 2026, after rejecting PSG’s advances.
The incredible story between Paul Pogba and Juventus starts its new chapter today. The Frenchman arrived in Turin on Sunday and the following day signed with the team that knew how to bring out the best in him. And for the second time he did so as a free agent from Manchester United, exactly as happened in 2012.
Official: Pogba is back in Turin
The Red Devils, to re-sign him, spent around 105 million euros in 2016. But after six season with just two titles (a League Cup and a Europa League, both in 2017) and many ups and downs, the midfielder decided again not to renew and leave for free.
At Juventus he will earn 8 million net plus two million available in variables, considerably less than what he received at Old Trafford (more than 15 million net) and also less than what PSG would have offered him.
Pogba, however, had never hidden his desire to return to Turin, where he has returned to visit former teammates and friends several times in the last six years. His signing, like that of Ángel di María, aroused enormous enthusiasm among the fans, coming from the first season without titles after a decade.
On Monday morning more than 1,000 fans awaited him at the JMedical, where he passed the medical examination before re-signing with the Vecchia Signora until 2026.
