What is Santiago Giménez’s entourage saying about the Mexico international’s future?
Feyenoord have reportedly received an offer for the Mexico international.
Santiago Giménez is having a remarkable season at Feyenoord and is attracting interest from multiple clubs. Latest reports indicate that the Mexican forward has reportedly reached an agreement to leave Feyenoord during the January transfer window, although the name of his next club has not yet been announced.
According to information from FootballTransfers, it has been hinted that Feyenoord already have an offer on the table, which has been agreed, and the move is expected to materialise in early 2024. Among the clubs that have shown interest in the Mexico striker are Napoli, Atlético Madrid and PSG.
Giménez’s entourage deny reports
When asked about these reports, the player’s entourage categorically denied the rumours to AS Mexico, saying that there has not been any kind of verbal or other type of agreement with any club.
The valuation of the 22-year-old, for whom the Dutch side paid €6m ($6.4m), has risen to €40m ($42.7m). With an impressive 12 goals in eight league games, he has established himself as one of the most outstanding players in the Eredivisie.
Giménez scored again for Feyenoord in his side’s 4-0 win over Vitesse on Saturday, however, he suffered a left leg injury. It remains to be seen if he will feature in the upcoming Champions League match against Lazio on Wednesday.
