When is the deadline for squad-list confirmation for the 2022 World Cup?
November 14 is the deadline for the 32 teams to submit their squad lists of 23-26 players to FIFA with the tournament getting underway on 20 November.
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is fast approaching as the competition kicks off on 20 November and ends on 18 December at the 80,000 Lusail Stadium and with the final FIFA international break having concluded, many fans are wondering on when the deadline is for the 32 participating nations in announcing their definitive squad lists.
There are two key dates that will have fans and the media on standby with national team coaches permitted to submit a preliminary provisional squad list to FIFA before confirming the final and definitive list of the players who will participate in Qatar.
This provisional list be submitted on 21 October and can include anything from 35-55 players. The second and definitive list must be submitted no later than 14 November and must include between 23 and 26 players.

There is plenty of flexibility with these dates and player numbers with US coach Gregg Berhalter expected to confirm his USMNT squad on 9 November and Spain manager Luis Enrique stating that he only plans to bring 23 or 24 players to the tournament.
