When will Diego Cocca make his debut as Mexico coach?
The Argentine will have his first games on the Tri bench in the Nations League.
Diego Cocca is the new coach of the national team and immediately he must begin the complicated mission of cleaning up El Tri’s face after its failure in Qatar at the 2022 World Cup.
It will be this Friday when the Mexican Soccer Federation (FMF) makes the presentation of Cocca as the new helmsman of the nation’s team and, from there, the Argentine will work on the design of the team that he will use for his debut.
Who will be Diego Cocca’s first opponent?
Diego Cocca’s debut as national coach will be in an official match, in the Nations League. The Argentine will be on the tricolor bench for the first time on March 23, in the match against Suriname, at the André Kamperveen stadium in the Caribbean nation.
Three days later, Cocca will have his first home game as coach of the national team, when El Tri receives Jamaica at the Azteca stadium, also in a Nations League contest.
The duels against Suriname and Jamaica are on a FIFA break, so the new tricolor coach will be able to summon Mexican players who ply their trade abroad.
