Man Utd debut

The 20-year-old has not yet made his debut for the club, after arriving with an injury sustained during pre-season training with Serie A side Atalanta.

Ten Hag was asked if the powerful forward could make his debut for his new club against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

“Yes, he’s had a good training week,” said Ten Hag. “Tomorrow we will have a final training session but he’s doing well, he’s responding well,” said Ten Hag.

“So, yeah, he’ll be available for Sunday’s game. I think he’s ready to start.”

Arsenal vs Manchester United team news

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber is a long-term absentee, but striker Gabriel Jesus has returned to training for the Gunners. Takehiro Tomiyasu will also be available for selection after serving a one-match suspension.

Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Tom Heaton, Tyrell Malacia, Amad and Kobbie Mainoo remain sidelined through injury for Manchester United.
