Saudi Pro League clubs continue to spend big on players from across the top European leagues, with their recruitment drive in full flow. The transfer window across the majority of leagues in Europe closed on Friday, 1 September, with the four PIF-backed clubs having longer than European clubs to sign players.

FIFA previously announced that the ever-growing league’s transfer window would shut on September 20, but the Saudi Pro League has confirmed that its window will instead close on Thursday, September 7.

The Middle Eastern league released a statement on Monday morning. “As communicated to clubs Saudi Arabia on Friday, June 30th, the summer registration for player transfers for the Roshn Saudi League (Saudi Pro League) closes on Thursday, September 7th.”
