CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
When’s the draw for the 2022/23 Champions League quarter-finals?
The Champions League last 16 is over, and later this week the eight qualifiers for the quarter-finals will find out who they’re up against in the next round.
With the last 16 now complete, we don’t have long to wait before we find out who’ll be facing who in the quarter-finals of the 2022/23 Champions League.
The draw for the last eight is to take place later this week, on Friday 17 March. Held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, the event is due to begin at 12 noon local time (7am ET/4am PT).
Who will be in the 2022/23 Champions League quarter-final draw?
What draw restrictions will there be?
None. Unlike the group stage and the last 16, there will be no seedings, and clubs from the same national association can be drawn together.
Will anything else be decided in the quarter-final draw?
Yes, a couple of things. Firstly, the semi-final draw will also be determined, by pairing each quarter-final tie with another. The winning teams in each twosome will be pitted against each other in the last four.
Secondly, Friday’s draw will decide which potential semi-final tie will provide the ‘home’ team in the final, played in Istanbul on 10 June.
How can I watch the quarter-final draw?
You’ll be able to watch a live stream of the draw on UEFA.com.
When will the quarter-finals be played?
The quarter-final first legs are to be held on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 April, and the return legs are scheduled for Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 April.
