Where is the 2024 Super Bowl being played?

Kansas City Chiefs will be hoping that lightning can strike twice and for a repeat outcome of Super Bowl LIV. On that Miami Sunday in February (2020), the Chiefs were crowned NFL champions for the second time in the franchise’s history beating the San Francisco 49ers by a 31-20 scoreline.

Following wins over Baltimore and Detroit respectively last weekend, next month serves up the opportunity for the 49ers to avenge their 2020 defeat and at the same time offers the Chiefs the chance to cement their mini-dynasty in the NFL with what would be their third Super Bowl win in five seasons.

The 49ers will also have the chance to win their first title since 1994 when they were led by the father of today’s coach, Kyle Shanahan, Mike Shanahan. The Andy Reid-led Chiefs have performed dynastically with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, appearing in four Super Bowls since 2019 and winning two, LIV and LVII.

Kansas City are also seeking to become the first franchise to win successive Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in 2003-04, while San Francisco are hoping to engrave their name on the trophy along with the likes of the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots with six Super Bowl wins.

Where will Super Bowl LVIII be played?

The upcoming Super Bowl will be held in Nevada with the doors of the Allegiant Stadium opening it’s doors with a capacity crowd of 71,500 expected. This will be the first time the Super Bowl is staged in Las Vegas and will be the third consecutive edition in the western United States. The previous two Super Bowls were hosted in Inglewood, California, in 2022 and in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023. Next year, the action returns to the east coast, more precisely, the south coast of Louisiana at New Orleans.

When does the Super Bowl LVIII game kick off?

Super Bowl 2024 will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on 11 February.
