The Juventus board will meet with Paul Pogba’s representatives today, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

With his contract coming to an end at Manchester United, and top European clubs showing their interest, the 29-year-old could be set to depart Old Trafford.

Despite the fact that Erik ten Hag has been brought in as the new coach of United, Pogba’s second spell at the club has been a failure, and with supporters happy to see him go, a new managerial appointment may not be enough to keep him in Manchester.

Juventus want Pogba return

Pogba’s spell at Juventus was a successful one. The key to agreeing to a deal for the Serie A giants would be paying the right salary for the World Cup winner. Juve’s economic proposal will be lower than what Ligue 1 champions PSG have to offer.

Sky Italia claim that Juventus want to know if Pogba is convinced a return to Turin is the right one and if he is ready to lower his economic demands.

“Talking about Pogba and anything else right now makes no sense,” Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri said in March.

“He’s a Manchester United player. I don’t know what he’s going to do next year. I’ve got a great relationship with him, a really good one. He used to get a bit angry because he kept losing (to me) at basketball and football. However, there’s no sense talking about the transfer market right now.”

Pogba was at Juventus from 2012 to 2016, before he returned to Old Trafford in a transfer worth more than €100 million. He could now make that journey from Manchester to Turin again.

PSG interested

PSG’s board have already held talks over a deal for the French midfielder. Real Madrid and Manchester City have also been linked with a move for the midfielder but he has no intention of joining City, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

In 20 Premier League appearances for the Old Trafford outfit this season, Pogba scored one goal.
