Three Premier League matches have been postponed due to the Queen’s funeral on Monday 19 September.

The Premier League will return to action this weekend after a pause as a mark of respect following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.

Seven of the 10 Matchweek 8 fixtures will be played, with three postponed due to the Queen’s funeral on Monday 19 September.

The Premier League have released a statement on this weekend’s fixtures.

“Seven of the 10 Premier League fixtures this weekend will be played, with three matches postponed due to events surrounding The Queen’s funeral.”

Which fixtures have been postponed?

Chelsea’s match against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge has been postponed as well as Manchester United’s home match against Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United. Both games were scheduled for Sunday 18 September, the day before the Queen’s funeral.

Brighton-Crystal Palace was due to be played at 15:00 BST on Saturday 17 September, but has also been postponed.
