Which USA U-17 players currently play in Europe?

The United States are one of the hopefuls as the FIFA U-17 World Cup kicks off in Indonesia with many of the USYNT players already playing with European clubs.

Expectations are high as the United States Under 17 team get their campaign underway at the World Cup which has just kicked off in Indonesia and runs through to 2 December.

Head coach Gonzalo Segares is confident that his squad of 21 are equipped to go all the way as they started the tournament with a win over South Korea in their Group E opener.

Of the 21 players called up by coach Segares, 17 play in the US with MLS clubs and four have already made the move to European clubs.

Noahkai Banks - Augsburg

The young USYNT defender plays with Augsburg in the Bundesliga, however, he is still honing his talents with the Under 19 team and this season he has played 7 games for the Bavarian side.

Aiden Harangi - Eintracht Frankfurt

Like Banks, Aiden Harangi was scouted by top Bundesliga Eintracht Frankfurt and also plays for the U-19 setup with the German side. The defender has played 10 games this season, bagging one goal and delivering two assists.

Pedro Soma - Union Esportiva Cornella

Pedro Soma plays for Unión Esportiva Cornelia in Spain’s third division. Playing time for Soma has been at a premium this season for the 16-year-old midfielder who has only been involved with the first team for nine minutes in the 2023-24 campaign.

Keyrol Figueroa - Liverpool

Keyrol Figueroa is one to watch in Indonesia and along with Cruz Medina, players who will have their eyes on making the headlines at this World Cup. The American footballer with Honduran roots was signed by Liverpool and the forward has played for the Reds in the U18 Premier League.
