The Premier League returns this weekend and we take a look at the Americans playing in the league for the 2022-23 campaign.

Christian Pulisic (Chelsea)

Pulisic has had a tough run of injuries at Stamford Bridge and will be hoping for a better campaign in 2022-23. New Chelsea signing Raheem Sterling is expected to start for Thomas Tuchel this season, meaning the US international will have his work cut out.

Brenden Aaronson (Leeds United)

The young midfielder scored six goals and provided 10 assists for Red Bull Salzburg last season. Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch coached Aaronson while the two were at Salzburg.

Tyler Adams (Leeds United)

Leeds signed Adams from German side RB Leipzig. He is a midfielder with Champions League experience. Adams made 38 appearances for Leipzig last season, playing an integral part for the Bundesliga outfit.

Chris Richards (Crystal Palace)

The 22-year-old represented the US at U19, U20 and U23 level before making his full senior debut. Crystal Palace have signed him from German giants Bayern Munich as they look to strengthen their defence under Patrick Vieira. Richards moved from FC Dallas to Bayern Munich in 2018.

Antonee Robinson (Fulham)

Robinson came through Everton’s academy and had loan spells at Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic before signing for the latter on a permanent basis. In August 2020, following Wigan’s relegation from the Championship, Robinson signed for Fulham, where he is now looking forward to being part of the newly-promoted side’s return to the big time.

Tim Ream (Fulham)

Ream played in every one of Fulham’s 46 Championship matches in 2021-22, an ever-present feature by starting in all 46 and helping guide the London club back to the Premier League under Marco Silva.

Matt Turner (Arsenal)

In 2021, New England Revolution finished with the most points in MLS history (73) and took home the Supporters’ Shield. Turner was a crucial part of Bruce Arena’s team. He has since earned himself a move to Arsenal.
