The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20. It will be the ninth edition of the quadrennial international tournament contested by women’s national teams and organized by FIFA. Two countries will host the game for the first time and will feature 32 teams instead of the previous 24.

The top goal scorers

Marta Vieira da Silva, also known as Marta, is a 35-year-old Brazilian footballer who has scored the most goals in the FIFA Women’s World Cup so far. She has scored 17 goals in 19 matches. The second and third highest goal scorers are Birgit Prinz from Germany and Abby Wambach from the USA.
