The Champions League returns on Tuesday. Once the group stage draw was made on August 26, all that remained ahead of this season’s competition was for the teams involved to finalize and submit their squads with the UEFA deadline for registration expiring on midnight, 2 September. Reigning champions Real Madrid have submitted Carlo Ancelotti’s chosen players, who will represent the side in the group stage beginning on Tuesday when the Liga champions travel to Glasgow to play Celtic.

Madrid had two places available to hand out to youth teamers to gain some experience and had to decide between defender Vinicius Tobias or forwards Iker Bravo and Noel López. In the end, Ancelotti decided to add Bravo, who has been handed the number 36 shirt, and Tobias, who will wear number 37, to the squad that will attempt to defend the title won last season. The 2022-23 season final will be held on 10 June 10, 2023, at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

The official list of Real Madrid players for the tournament has already been published on the UEFA Champions League website.

Real Madrid were drawn in Group F with RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk and Celtic. The competition begins on 6 September when Madrid will play their first game against Celtic.
