Who is the referee for the CONCACAF Nations League final between Mexico and the United States?
CONCACAF announced list of mach officials who will be in charge of delivering justice in the final match and also in the game for third place.

CONCACAF have revealed the names of the refereeing teams who will be in charging of overseeing the remaining two matches of this year’s CONCACAF Nations League - the final and the match for third place. Defending champions the United States will contest the trophy with Mexico at at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas while Panama and Jamaica go face to face in the game for third place at the same stadium a few hours earlier.

Penso selected
In charge of the match for third place will be North American referee Tori Penso. She will be joined by line officials and compatriots Brooke Mayo and Kathryn Nesbitt along with Honduran fourth official, Said Martínez. Following the action in the VAR room will be Edvin Jurisevic from the United States and Érick Jair Miranda from Mexico. Penso, who gained her FIFA international license in 2023, whistled the quarter final between Jamaica and Canada. The 38-year-old Florida-born ref was also selected for two games at last year’s Club World Cup. She is the first full-time, female referee in MLS.

As for tonight’s 2024 CONCACAF Nations League final between the USMNT and Mexico, tournament organizers have elected a Canadian to oversee the game. Drew Fischer will be the central man in charge. Accompanying the 43-year-old from Alberta will be assistants Micheal Barwegen and Lyes Arfa, both Canadians. The fourth official will be Guatemalan Mario Escobar. Those in charge of VAR will be Tatiana Guzmán from Nicaragua and Deneon Parchment from Jamaica.
Tonight’s game will be Fischer’s tenth final. He has overseen five Canadian Championship finals as well as the 2022 CONCACAF League final between Olimpia and Alajuelense and the 2023 Campeones Cup final between LAFC and Tigres.

This will be the second time that Mexico and the United States have reached the final in three editions of the competition. In the inaugural edition, in 2019-20, the North Americans lifted the trophy after winning the match 3-2 with goals from Gio Reyna, Weston McKennie and Christian Pulisic while Jesús Corona and Diego Laínez were on target for Mexico; it was a night to forget for Andrés Guardado who missed a penalty.
The United States won the second edition of the tournament by beating Canada 2-0 with goals from Chris Richards and Folarin Balogun. Gregg Berhalter’s team will be hoping to make it three wins in a row tonight. The game kicks off at 9:15 pm ET/6:15 pm PT.
