The identity of one Copa América 2024 finalist will be known today as the first semifinal takes place in New Jersey.
The Copa América 2024 is only a few days away from reaching its conclusion, with previous champions Argentina, Uruguay and Colombia in contention to add to their victories in the competition, while Canada are hoping to get their hands on the trophy for the first time ever.

Argentina vs Canada - 8pm ET / 5pm PT, New Jersey
Argentina take on Canada in the first of the two semifinals at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Tuesday (July 9) and are overwhelming favourites to reach Sunday’s final.
Lionel Messi and Co made their way through the group stage with relatively little fuss, winning all three games to nil, including against their semifinal opponents in the opening match.
Messi’s fitness has been a cause of concern of late, causing him to sit out the third group game, a 2-0 win over Peru. He returned for the quarterfinal against Ecuador but missed a penalty as Argentina surprisingly needed a shootout to reach the last four.
Canada have reached the last four in their first ever appearance in the tournament despite winning only one of their four matches in 90 minutes and scoring just two goals. Jesse Marsch’s team also qualified for the semifinals following a penalty shootout, defeating Venezuela in the last round.

Who will Argentina or Canada face in the Copa América 2024 final?
The winner of today’s semifinal in New Jersey will take on either Uruguay or Colombia in the final at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Sunday July 14. The second last four clash will be played in Charlotte on Wednesday (July 10), also kicking off at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.
